Visas.
If you arrive at the airport or any border without
a visa you will be granted a 30 day tourist visa.
This type of visa can be renewed simply by leaving
and re-entering the country. You can do this for
90 days (3 consecutive visa runs). If you wish
to extend your stay you will have to leave the
country and make a request for a 60-day tourist
visa at a Thai Consulate. The nearest Thai embassy
to Krabi is Penang in Malaysia.

However, the best thing to do is go to your nearest
Thai Embassy or Consulate and request a 60-day tourist
visa. On the application form state the approximate
time you plan on arriving in Thailand and that the
purpose of the visit is for tourism. This type of
visa is normally given automatically and quickly.
We can also assist you in obtaining a non-immigrant
visa. Simply ask us for a supporting letter stating
that you are enrolled on an educational course. You
then submit the letter with your application to the
Thai consulate in the country in which you are applpying.
If you decide to work in Thailand after completing
the TEFL course, your sponsoring school will assist
you in obtaining a work permit.
